Punished By Anet Or Just unlucky? - Guild Wars Forums

Atm all I do is vanq. the Jade Sea for Luxon title & do Zquests/bounties. I don't vanq. Mount Qinkai over and over. I circulate and vanq. all areas in the Jade Sea at random (except Rhea's Crater for some reason). So heres the thing, my drop rate has plummeted so badly, yesterday I vanq'd 7 areas in Jade and not 1 gold drop, so far it's been about 14 since my last lockpick. Is this because I'm constantly vanq'ing the Jade sea areas or just hideous bad luck or is Anet punishing me for something?

Ps. This is just in about the last week or so, before that golds and lockpicks were quite frequent

i heard but not sure if its true but if you do a certian areas a lot the drop late lowers for awhile. you have to wait i think for awhile then it will go back to normal hopefully.

What you receive for drops is random. The program sets the drops per foe upon your entry into an area. When a foe dies, the program randomly selects who will receive the drop.

So you are not being punished, it's just a case of luck or lack of it.

pretty sure there's some sort of 'farming code' activating even though you're not really farming one spot over and over.

or in this case it might be the 'stop pveing' code coming into play.

I disagree with 2 above

I farm certain items that drop. I will only do it for about an hour a day in one location. Then I LOG OUT and then do it again.

Try that and see what happens

check your titles for "Cursed by Fate" maybe you maxed your unlucky title.

lol. I don't know but sometimes I think anet hates me. XD

For example, the weekend before finding out what traveler drop would be (topaz), I had been working on vqing the desert. I lost count of how many times I had to go kill lizards just to get five of them. Finally a guildie came with and gave me the last few I needed when they dropped for them. lol.

But then on the other hand, the stone drops of this week, I was the one getting all the drops. lol. But then I haven't been in NF much recently, though I'm not entirely sure if that makes a difference.

*shrugs* Roll with the punches as the saying goes.

But yeah, sometimes I have horrible drops and other times I get the nice stuff. It's weird.

Got 2 golds today while vanq'ing Mount Qinkai, only took 9 vanq's, hopefully an end to the drought

It's all random and bad luck....I never even retain lockpicks anymore and in HM EoTN i still get non max purples from chests more so than golds.

Go do some pvp, help a friend or 2. That should replenish ur farm code.
